Fund Raising Jumps and Jumps For Charity

Fund raising is simple when parachuting, as most people are very happy to sponsor someone making a jump! The process is, 1. Book the jump, 2. Start collecting sponsors, 3. Make the jump. 4. Collect in the funds raised 5.reimburse yourself the cost of the jump 6. Give the remaining monies to the cause. (this does not need to be a charity).

Tell us whom you wish to raise money for and we will produce a sponsorship form for you. There is a place on both the electronic booking and paper booking form to enter who you are going to raise money for.

So.. Why book your fund raising jump through us?

It is important that the "cause" gets as much money as possible from your jump. We are one of the very few companies that do not charge extra for a charity / fund raising jump. All companies, whether they advertise a free jump or not, will be paying the centres for the jump by deducting payment from the sponsorship money. Some charge as much as £60.00 per person booking fee in addition to the cost of the jump.

If you are planning to use a percentage of the money raised to pay for the jump (and most people do) we would suggest a minimum amount of money to be raised is £100 above the cost of the jump. If you should fall short of the amount you need to pay for the jump then you should make up the difference yourself. It may be helpful to collect the sponsorship money up front if possible, as the jump will have to be paid for on the day. If you choose to have the video and stills photography package you should not use the sponsorship money to pay for this.

Most people use a percentage of the money raised to pay for the jump before doing a jump for a charity you must inform the charity and ask for permission to collect for them.

If you are planning to do a one off jump for a charity I would recommend a Tandem type of descent as this gives the best all round experience of skydiving with the least amount of training. You can also jump in the largest range of weather conditions allowed for skydiving so you are more likely to complete the decent on the day booked. See the Tandem page for more information.
